    Antique Brass Jardinaire Hebrew?
Hello, I found this at an auction. It came out of an old Masonic Home that was closed down. It measures about 8 1/2" across X 5" tall. May have been used as a planter. It is dirty inside. The etching looks like Hebrew writing? There are some animal head shapes on it. I can't make out what it is. It needs a good cleaning, but I'm not sure if I should do that. Thank you for any info. I am trying to determine value, if any.

Pretty sure that's not Hebrew, looks more like Arabic. Hard to see script clearly from your photograph.

Definitely not Hebrew. Arabic would be my guess also but I’m not sure.

I agree, it is more like Arabic, although the text is hard to see.
It looks Egyptian made to me. Probably not meant as a jardiniere, but as a storage vessel. You can use it any way you like of course.
