These wooden statues were given to my mother by two aunts who were true Antique dealers back in the 60's. They tried to get them back years later.
Just wondering if anyone could help identify anything g about them

Certainly look 1960s to me too. Could be from Spain but México more likely.

I spent quite a bit of time trying to pin these down without too much luck. I first looked for choir figures in general and, then, began looking at carving styles. I found somewhat similar things from all kinds of places but most from Mexico and the Philippines. Nothing was very exact and I did not find Spanish figures much like this.

Ironically, the best match was this carved choir from Poland..... Still not a terribly good match.....

I do think that these are 20th century. I suppose they could be from as early as the 30s but I think 50s or later most likely.

I have to comment on the "true Antique dealers." My Dad bought and sold and I started helping in the business by the time I was 8. He handled everything, including antiques. Does that mean everything he sold was legitimately old? Nope. Not saying your family friends were unscrupulous, just saying it's all about the sale. Just because these might be Mexican or mid-century doesn't mean they don't have value. I'd continue to research.

You might check Anri figures, too. That primitive, big head style is similar to some of that work.

Thanks for all the responses. I will continue to research. What I do know is they came from two aunts who were very knowledgeable and know Antique Dealers who bought and sold for over 60years. They sold these choir boys to my mother in the 1960's for $40.00. They did say they were from Spain. The thing that made us curious way there desire to always get them back . Who knows why but they were true collectors and wheeler- dealers. They are long gone but I hope to find out more about them someday.thx, LH.
