Another What`s it ?

    About 5" made of brass with a wood handle.
    Something obviously goes in at the start of the spiked tube and comes out the other end.
    The bar along the handle has four holes and each can be pushed over a raised pin in the handle.
    The brass top although ridged does not turn or plunge.
    The only markings are "Improved Daisy"
