Another what am I piece

    Hi,
    I have another item I don't know what it is. I thought a bell but there is no clapper, no evidence there ever was one. The top piece is meant to tip, whatever will drop/spill in front of the lady. She stands 6" in height, gold colour inside the base/skirt and top part.
    Any ideas appreciated.

    I think she is a candle snuffer.
    Check her over closely. She may be marked sterling.
    Looks like a gold wash up inside her skirt.

    Nice job, everyone.

    And do take Cluttered's suggestion to check if this might be sterling. I had a set of sterling goblets that had a gold wash just like this.

    Yes, I checked, this is silver-plated. I did see some that were sterling though, they go for some good money. Interesting story on these. Thanks again all:happy:
