Pix not in any logical order, sry, Machine weighs about a ton and is a "coining press." It rolls impressions into metal nameplates for motors etc, note the circular "roll die" apparently for Baldwin motors or electrical products. I've learned that heavy machines with a "neck" that will present a secure, hooked-type fastening are most safely handled using a nylon lifting strap around the neck. The machine is powered by an electric motor-driven hydraulic pump.

Just wondering why you buy this stuff? Will it come in handy some day? (my excuse for keeping everything)

Baldwin Locomotive Works? I hope? If so, you scored. It may not be valuable per se, but I can think of two railroad museums who would love getting their hands on it if that's what it is.

Oooh wish I'd been there, I'd take it for sure. Leblond is a very good lathe maker, I use one.

I messed up my back just pulling 40 pound items out. It was a bonanza.

I think the tags were used on small electrical devices such as motors, because "UL" is a part of the image on the roll die. I won't sell it, anyway, until I've hooked it up and gotten tired of watching it reproduce that logo on metal I feed in.

Just because you mentioned 'coining', I have to ask: do you have a knuckle joint press?

Nope. Baldwin. My dad was a rail nut; I think the first "car" he ever drove may have been a Baldwin engine.(LOL) Or he wished it was anyway.
IIRC Baldor just makes parts for diesels.
