Another oil painting: Zula?

I'm having trouble finding a painter named Zula that matches the style of this one. Maybe I'm misreading it?

It's 12" x 9" plus the frame. I found it an an estate sale here in the Pac Northwest. Some damage to the paint in the mountains.

... or maybe Xula. Not finding anything with either spelling. Maybe remove the paper to see if anything is on the back.

 

You know what-- I just noticed that there's another paint chip that has flakes off right in that first letter of the last name.

If you zoom in on the third picture you can see the underlying canvas.

So I guess that makes it harder to guess the name.
