This one is not as old as the other one. Is the glass shade original to this lamp? Any help with maker, age, origin etc., is wonderful & thanks for your time.
Also, this too, like the other lamp (in another thread) has a leather bottom, that I don't know if made that way, or someone added.

The shade is similar to those used on figural vanity/dresser lamps of the depression era

Great, thanks SBSVC!, the shade does look identical, but connects on the bulb differently than mine. Here are pics of that area of mine.

So, does this cords plug help date it to around the 30's? Does that sound about right? The more I look at it, I'm thinking this shade is original to this lamp, but again WDIK!!:D:confused:
    Thanks everyone.:)

The depression era shades that I have seen for figural lamps came with a clip on to bulb mechanism, held in place by the finial. If someone wanted to adapt this shade to this lamp, it would be easy to remove the clip on and slip the top of the harp on to the shade.

Leather on the bottom to protect the table top ........................... for the rich.......the hoi polloi use felt.....................

actually, I think the leather was used on leather table tops, occasionally the felt would "bleed" into leather.................

Again, as I remarked on your other thread, I don't think the "leather" is original to the lamp.

One mystery solved, I removed the leather off the bottom, and there was sooooooo much adhesive under it, and I could tell there was markings under all the old adhesive, so I chipped it off, little by little, and found the markings
    Lightolier Co.
    Pat applied for
    C 1399 (i think)
    Fits M 199

I still have not found any similar lamps in my brief search, but will look into it further. Thanks everyone for the help.
The first pic, is before I scraped the adhesive.

Look at the shape of the shade on the one that you just posted.
    upload_2017-8-26_10-35-27.png

If the 2 lamps you have been posting came from the same sale, then possible the broken shade on your other lamp came from this base. The owners may have liked this lamp better, or it works and the other doesn't. Whatever. Looks like that broken shade should have been on this lamp.

Oh and that broken shade would have been more 30s, as is this base.

I think the base (in your other thread) with the Art Nouveau influence is more 20s. That one may have had a beaded shade.

The blue shade on the above lamp is probably 1940s
