For a split second I dreamed of a Meissen figurine discovery. Alas the bottom was chalky with large holes and little wear. One of the crossed swords has a bend at the tip which according to porcelain marks and more is an unknown Asian mob producing these figurines. Another lesson learnt but that's ok as I was only interested in the two art deco Italian resin figurines and the two capodimonte figurines.

Data – about 15cm high and quite light.

    Cheers
    Stephen

Thank you for sharing Stephen. You're right, those holes in the bottom are a dead give-away that it's Chinese. The one in the center is a new twist for me though - I don't recall seeing that variation before. And the gold highlights on the back of the dress almost look like Chinese characters. I wonder what the holes in the center of the blue and pink flowers were for?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Don, are they holes or just black painted dots in the centers of the blue and pink flowers???? I think I'm seeing paint.......

I love the "lace" around the bottom of the dress.....but see a small broken piece gone on the back...........

I thought they looked like holes but they could just be black paint. My eyes aren't what they used to be!

It is a black reflection on gold gilded spots in the middle of the flowers.

I think that particular mark is Japanese or some other Asian country.
