Just a caution...I get only an extremely dark page, very difficult to see detail, or much else, tttt.

Wow, that is an awesome collection of the utmost rarity! I will be extremely interested to see what items 31,32 and 33 make. Considerably more than the estimate I think! These are three absolutely stunning pieces, and in exceptional condition.

The sold prices are showing now for those that are interested. What a fabulous auction.

 

Fabulous prices, but then again, the items are exceptionally rare. I am very surprised though that 31, 32 and 33 didn't go for considerably more. Many types of Greek helmets are far more numerous by comparison, yet they did extremely well at this auction. Oh well, at a mere $1,25m, the buyer of #33, especially, got a bargain!

whom ever came up with the estimates for most of the items was a bit....off

 

Not nearly as far off as the recent Mark Knopfler guitar auction at Christies.....

Lot #17 for example, est. £6000-£8000. Realised price= £504.000 !, yes, you read that right, £504.000! How could they get it so wrong? That said, the prices realised were simply ridiculous.
