It's 6 1/2" high, with a 3 1/2" rim an' foot; weight is ~30 1/2 oz. The glaze is interesting, an' very comfortable in hand. The name on the base is the only clue that it is slip-cast, in that a hint of the signature can be felt (more than seen) on the interior floor.
The foot shows clearly an S, with Ball**d also quite legible. The two letters between l & d (a&r) are assumed, but I cannot be sure. It could be Bolland, I suppose.
I can't recall how or when I acquired it, but the glaze, far more than any other aspect, was the attraction. What can any of you say about this neat piece of potter's craft? Thanks for lookin'!
