American Liquor bottle

    This one is far from home in the UK.
    Has ‘Federal law prohibits the reuse or sale of this bottle’ on the neck which google tells me dates it to 1935-1964.
    Does anyone recognise what it would have originally held to date it further?
    The glass is quite thick and has a rainbow effect which you can just see on the neck on the second photo- maybe the dirt on the inside or in the glass?.
