This is an early Framed Oil Painting representing a Bouquet of Flowers Still life.
This Painting measures 51x38 cm Only Canvas frame..With Frame size is 60x47.
This Interesting painting is signed and dated at the right down corner.G.Rock 1947
I suppose it is an early Painting from G.Rock and don't know if this one could have interest in any US or Canadian Gallery.
I had a look on his last paintings...Representing most of the time Houses,Villages..Or Life in Canada.

Is there a reason why the full date -- 1947 -- isn't visible in your photograph? I ask because I only see the 19.

It has the look of a 1940's decorator piece. Charming in it's way. I think it would be difficult to sell this online as the shipping cost would rival the value of the painting. Of course, if he is a known painter, there may be people out there just waiting for the next example to come available.

Yes, of course, I see now. Thanks. It does appear to be "49" rather than "19." That also appears to be Geoffrey Rock's signature when compared with examples found on internet. If his, certainly not his later style.
