    Hi,
What are your thoughts on this necklace? 30” long and string on chain. I do believe it’s vintage to maybe antique or close to it. It’s not Bakelite as I put simichrome on it. It kinda fluoresces but…

    Thank you for any help

Some kind of compound reconstituted with amber elements. That point light isn’t right.

Not amber, with those swirls. And amber is too soft to be strung on a chain.

On the photo below it seems to have a crystalline structure. Does it feel cold?

My first reaction was "it wants to be", but when they string opaque beads with glass and costume metal, you have to be doubtful.

Not cold so definitely not a stone or glass

I wondered about that but the chain had me second guessing

Those are fissures in the material

    What about faturan?

Faturan isn't that shiny, besides, the necklace isn't Turkish or Middle Eastern.
    That rules out amber.
