Are these aluminum rusting, or chromed steel?

    Does a magnet stick?

No it does not stick to a magnet I'm not sure if that is rust or just dirt over aluminum corrosion

Good I asked because it looks so rust colored from your pictures.
My guess would be aluminum was very popular after the war and they look 1940s but think they could have been made through the 1960s.

I don't know. There were a ton of mid-century modern designers.

    Hi,
With those huge rims I am thinking of pots in a Bain Marie that were used as flower pots. Not originally a flower pot.
