Thanks for having me here and letting me ask questions. I once was a 4th generation woodworker, Now I am a bon vivant. I hope I can be a worthwhile addition to the knowledge base here. Thanks! (mahalo)

Greetings. We can use a few bon vivants and the occasional woodworker too.

Welcome! Are you a 5-string banjo-player? I play 4-string in an eclectic Celtic style, also guitar, mandolin, violin, octave mando….

Yes, I are a banjo picker. With a modest amount of talent I have managed to scatter banjo notes all over this planet. Music is the best!

For sure! Of course, one has to learn to endure the banjo jokes.....
There are quite a few talented musicians on this forum.

Some of who make banjo jokes. (I'll refrain from the one I know about perfect pitch in a jug band.)

I do know a good and rather uncommon one....
Seems it was close to Christmas, and God thought it would be nice to have a big party for his Son, with music and all....He thought it would be nice to have some banjo players too, but realized of course that they were all in the Other Place.
So he called Satan on the phone, and asked "could you loan me a few banjo players for the party?" But Satan absolutely refused, and no matter what God offered, Satan wouldn't give in.
Finally God said, "send me the banjo players, or I'll file a lawsuit to get them!"
Satan replied, "where do you think you can find the lawyers?"
