Alfred Stellmacher jar

    I have had another look and have found similar pattern with the blue decoration but still big lumpy bits on. Maybe that's the stuff which interests people.

    If you look up stellmacher pieces you'll see. They have bits stuck out all over the place.

    Thanks. First I have seen of the mark in print and was starting to wonder of ot was a copy

    This is info from Rontgen's about the factory and successor below. He has the later name as Alexandra rather than Alexandria as that seller has and doesn't have the mark they show so I have no idea if they are right or wrong in what they say in their listing. Way beyond me.

    The mark I posted a bit back is #420. This suggests that the molds Alexandra acquired were after Stellmacher's time assuming his mark was not used longer than Rontgen thought.:confused:
