I need help finding the era/ age/ title of a geisha/ young samurai warrior I've had for 7yrs purchased from thrift store. I have been unsuccessful in finding a maker or pictures of anything related to this particular doll. Can anyone 17252405829503710773945833018809.jpg assist me?

This looks like the sort of doll that US servicemen brought home from leave in Japan after WWII or during Viet Nam. Someone else might know more.

From what I can see, I would agree. Manmade (polyester) rather than natural (silk) fabric.

Thank you... all I know is ( the eyes are glass and the head has partial wig.) The hands and feet feel rubberish too. It has a Yari and a Sword . I cannot find a twin to this doll , why... with so many out there?

How tall is he? Is he on a stand? And no marks at all?

Not everything is on the net. ;) Another vote for WWII and later tourist doll. Those are the type of hands they have.

Thank you for for all your professional input. Getting some other insights , I have a doll made approximately between 1920 and 1945.

That's what I put together with the insights I got from here and comparing on the web. What should the base look like ? Or have?

I don't know what the base of yours looks like as you haven't posted a photograph of the top. I only know that the underside, with its Made in Japan stamp, is modern and doesn't date to the pre-World War II period. I agree with the above that it's a Vietnam era-ish souvenir.

Joe, all three responders here have said post WWII (1945) and later...and that was before seeing the base. Those prongs and tape are definitely later 20th century.
