Aging a Slaymaker lock

    Anyone have a clue what the age might be on this lock.

    The only thing I have really figured out is it's a Slaymaker and it's a seal lock. Meaning you could put a stamp over the key hole and then lock it in place and see if it had been opened.

    Only markings I could find other than the brand mark.

    The key appears to be possibly home made and hand cut but works. While it isn't marked with a railroad company I have been calling it a railroad lock since my FIL worked on the railroad starting in 1947 and his father started around 1910.

    Any info on age, value, what the markings might mean, etc welcome. Value is just to have an idea as it's not for sale.
