Just picked up this up for 3 bucks & it seemed to have a little age to it (?). It's 9 7/8" across, has traces of gold gilt in the center, rim, behind the fruit, floral and ladies hair, the glaze was laid on fairly thickly. No back stamp & it appears to have several firing/glazing fissures. There are two little splotches of green glaze on the back foot.
Any ideas how old this piece might be ? Thanks for the help. rose full.jpg rose top half.jpg rose clseup.jpg rose bck.jpg

Chinese antique porcelain plate, made in Jingde Zhen without color and colored in Guangzhou for exportation in 19-early 20th century.
    Color preserved pretty well.
With the flaw, worth like 50-100$ in Chinese antique market.

Ke.Ma-Thank you so much for your knowledge & a big welcome to the Site.Your wisdom is very helpful.
The back didn't have a 'China' or 'Made In China' mark and the color seemed faint/light in the figure painting, but it did have some gilt-so it was a puzzle to my un-trained eyes re age. Also the paint seemed put on very thick.
By 'flaw' do you mean the hairline crack near the upper left-hand edge in picture # 4,or the glaze cracks/fissures in the center of the back ?
    Again-most thankful !

Welcome! And thanks for the interesting info -- I know that Jingde Zhen is a notable place for the manufacture of Chinese ceramics, but I did not know that items were made without colour and then painted in Guangzhou. Learned my something new today!

@bosko69 -- my MIL had a punch bowl (now I do!) with similar colour design and I was told it was early 20th c. I like the painted people scenes in the cartouches.

Yes I mean the crack at the edge.
In Chinese market cracks (after the item was made)on porcelain will considerably affect the value of it.
On the other hand the cracks on the back was there when it's made (which is called 窑裂:kiln cracking), normally people don't mind these.

Many exported porcelain were colored in Canton, you can tell by the different color scheme of the items.
An online pic of exported porcelain colored in Jingde Zhen:
