Age and Origin of this Faience(?) Plate?

    Hand painted decoration, crazing and glaze pooling at rear.

    Size: 8-3/4 in.

    The wording is Dutch, "Eendracht maakt macht" it means "Unity is Strength" it is also the national motto on the coat of arms for Belgium and Republic of South Africa which both have Dutch language.
    Can`t help with age.

    The legend was used on South African coins back in the 19th century..

    Thanks so much, Davey. Not finding much or anything of this motto being on ceramics. Hopefully, someone will chime in with an answer or two regarding age and possible maker.

    @Fig, that's one of the reasons why I made the purchase.....love the bold simplicity of the design which appears to be Art Nouveau(?) in style, but I'm probably wrong.
