I am not sure what this is. I thought at first it was made from a gourd, but it is way too heavy and feels like clay. I can't seem to find anything out there similar to this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!! It's 11"tall x 8" wide. Weighs close to 3 pounds and it rounded on the bottom. IMG_7086 (1).JPG IMG_7087.JPG IMG_7088.JPG IMG_7089.JPG

Yes, it's traditional African pottery, made by the Zulu of South Africa, identified by the clay used, the firing technique, and the distinctive decorative patterns. The book Zulu Pottery by Elizabeth Perrill, will confirm.

Do you have any idea of value? I am not sure if it is old or maybe more recent. Thank you.
