African carving (not posted before)

Or at least I hope I haven't. Clearly I need to go through all my old threads, and tag the stuff I've asked about already. Anyway...

This is a little over 9" tall, 6" in diameter. Shows shrinkage, and has already been repaired once for shrinkage but it is continuing to open up. Left it as found without cleaning. Where, when?

tourist carving....maybe 1980's.......

looks like it was buried after being carved....

 

It looks vaguely Yoruba (Nigeria), based on traditional maternity figures. But it is rather crudely done, and not typical in style. Tourist quality would be my guess, as well.
