Update: I’m fairly certain it is a vintage reproduction, based on a few examples I found.

I took it home to research a bit.. and I still think it is either from the aesthetic movement or a later reproduction. : -p

    It’s very light weight.

    Any thoughts welcome!

No expert here & I had to look up what an aesthetic period pitcher would look like. From what Google shows me, I think you've hit it. And it shows appropriate signs of age. I've thrown out my thought bubble. Let's see who pops it.

Giving it a reoriented look - it's really nice. :)

The design elements are definitely ones used during the aesthetic period (last quarter of the 1800s) but I have never seen such an item executed in this way. I am curious to see a closer look at the mark on the bottom (which bothers me.)

8F84CAEE-ECBB-4711-8A56-4D8C2C92F316.jpeg Here is the exact one on Etsy, painted in colors. Note the details on the dragon fly and flower are less fine than on the authentic example (above).

oh well. win some loose some!

When you search for 'antique majolica dragonfly pitcher', you are not disappointed. My goodness! It is a very attractive design. Not surprising if it has be replicated.

Uh huh. That mark on the bottom clinches my thinking on this.

Very unprofessional way of marking an item supposedly as old as it should be if it were of the period.
