Abstract Landscape Watercolors

    I picked up these 2 paintings this week at a thrift shop. They are by the same artist. I am having some trouble with google translator, because it keeps coming up with different languages for the writing on the back. It seems to think it is Latvian. I would appreciate some insight and some suggestions on the signature. Kind of looks like M. Kajacs, however I am not sure that the intention was to make the first letter of the last name into a K.     Yeah, Latvian according to Google Translate.

    I just wanted to update everyone and thank all the folks who viewed the pictures. Thanks to a monumental effort by the Kalamazoo, Michigan Latvian community we were able to identify the artist as Maruta Kajaks. She is a very talented watercolorist, art educator and signature member of the New England Watercolor Society.
