A warm hello from England

Hello everyone just wanted to say what a brilliant informative forum this is and one I have no doubt will provide me with lots of knowledge. As at the moment I have none.

I am from England and have just inherited a lot of my dads furniture, pictures, stamp collection, memorabilia, train sets and many other items. As I live in a fairly small property I will not be able to keep some of the stuff, at the moment I can hardly move due to all the boxes.

I am hoping you won’t mind if over the coming months I can come to you for advice.

I look foward to learning everything you can teach me.

Many thanks to you all for such a warm welcome. I am in the middle of transporting the boxes from my dads 150 miles to mine. I can not wait to start unloading the boxes and really looking at the items as I have up until now just been packing.

We have something in common Boxers, the happiest clowns of the dog world you will ever meet!

 

Aw. That is Old Man. Sweetest guy we rescued in 2014. Unfortunately, he passed after a sudden illness last February 2018. I have not gotten over him. He was old when we rescued. Also lost. 14 year old schnauzer from the big C and another boxer Fergie from the big C also. A lot if loss in 2018

 

Welcome Boxeramba - I thought for a second the name was due to all the boxes. My late Dad was a stamp collector and rail nut too; any and all trains were fair game for him. Did your dad watch Thomas the Tank Engine too? (LOL)

Hi and WELCOME to ANTIQUERS, @Boxeramba!!!! So sorry.....those are HARD losses in 2018. But so glad you found US!!! Pictures!!!! We're going to need lots of pictures eventually when you get to it!!!! I am so sorry for all your losses. It’s wonderful when they are here but so very hard when they are gone. I lost my Amba in 2012 and I still miss her so very much.
