    Hi everyone,

I would love some feedback on this buddha, if possible. It stands 23.5cm tall. Unfortunately, it isn't in the best condition.

How can I tell if it's old or has just been sadly neglected?

Do you think there's any value to it?

Huge thanks in advantage, as always.

Hum - it might be my eyes but those look like circular saw marks on the base.

He looks Burmese to me. Charming, and I think he has age. He could have been outside, exposed to the elements.
He has value imo, but I don't know how much.

True, but the circular saw was invented in the 18th century, and widely used in the 19th. So it can't pre-date the invention of the circular saw, but it can be old enough to have natural wear.;)

Really? I thought the lines were the grain of the wood because they vary.

Sorry from my cell phone at 6:30 this morning, looked like more modern circular saw marks but I am always skeptical with anything related to Chinese décor.

I don't think it is Chinese, or décor. I think it is a genuine Burmese item.
