I find it odd that I can't find the original of this particular Buddha online. Searching the image finds similar diecasts, but without details. And that particular hand pose, which should have a very specific name (one source called it the dhyan mudra), does not seem to be very common. Are those peaches perched on his lap (also something I'm not finding online)? The buddhas I do find with that hand pose are called Amida (Amida Nyoria, Amitābha).

 

I'm not as familiar as perhaps I should be, given my almost childish reverence for the Buddha, in all His forms.
I cannot confirm any of your assumptions, mos...
I just don't know.
