Featured A red clay pipe

    Hi, Can someone help ID this hand carved red clay pipe? It's not marked. It's almost 3" long and has two holes in the bowl. Is it missing the stem? Thanks!

    The lower part looks like a stylized fish? Maybe that is a search term?
    About the stem, not exactly missing, but it would have had a wooden stem inserted in the hole. These pipe heads were made separately.

    Interesting looking.Hopefully it’s some kind of ceremonial pipe. But really looks a little like a bong/weed pipe to me..:)

    Glass is more common for weed pipes, as it's much easier to clean residue off of.

    The fact of the hole being offset from center might suggest something less carefully made.
