A Little Valuation Help

Anyone able to provide me with a rough valuation for my solid oak table (in the attached pictures)? I picked it up for £50 a couple of years ago, but looking to sell it now.

It's in decent condition, but does need a little TLC. I'm planning to sand and varnish it myself, but the middle section (where it pulls apart to extend) doesn't quite meet up flush, which is worse on one end (~1cm) than the other end (~0.5cm).

 

While a nice, functional table I don't believe it is worth the effort & cost to sand & varnish. Brown furniture is not popular these days and worth very little.

 

It's sort of nineteen tens. Edwardian, shall we say and a quality maker which helps it greatly.

This one sold for £900, but it's bigger. You might get £300, needing work.

It depends upon what location in what country you are in. Brown wood furniture has been very inexpensive for a very long time. In the future, I can picture a rise in sales, but it hasn't happened yet. For example, I doubt I could get more than about 65$ for your table in southern Louisiana.

 

Without that maker's label, I'd agree.But that's a Name here. Makes all the difference.

Perfect, thanks for your response! That's about what someone else has advised. I'll give it a bit of TLC and see what I can get.

Depends where you are, but possibly a local auction house.
