840 Silver Persian Ladle

    I think the first mark is 84 for 840 fineness, Any idea of the other one?

    Iranian silver marked with an '84', whether expressed in Middle Eastern or European form, should indicate a fineness of .875, based on the old Russian zolotnik system - the other is most likely the maker's mark, someone who reads Farsi might be able to help...

    I was just trying to list it on Ebay and found out that items that originated in Iran cannot be shipped outside US. Why's that?

    Do not say Iran - it's Persian

    feebay often misinterprets things
