Picked up these 4 vases yesterday, wondering if anyone might know anything about them.

    1. Cut glass Sunflower design. Square shape measures 12" tall and is 4 3/4" wide at the flared top and 3 1/4" at the base.

    2. Lead crystal with a "bubble" design and polished base. Measures 8 1/8" tall, 7" wide at the top and 3 1/8" at the base.

    3. This one I believe is Scandinavian. Textured with frosted balloons or button cap mushrooms. Oval shape measures 7" tall, 4 3/4' by 3".

    4. Another one I think might be Scandinavian. Blue tinted cylinder vase, Measures 6 1/2" tall and is 5" wide at the top and 3" at the base. The walls of the vase measure 1" thick.

You need to check everything I say today.

    1. Possibly Imperial 1900-1930s
    2. Newer mid to late 1900s
    3. Have you checked Finland - Iitalia?
    4. That blue tint is often associated with Stromb??? Since it is not engraved they may not have signed it as they usually do.

    thanks

Have not found anything by Imperial to match the first vase, but I will keep looking. The third vase you were absolutely correct about, it is an Oiva Toikka design. And the last one definitely does look like a lot of the Strombergshyttan pieces. Most pieces are engraved and signed, so this may just be a blank.

I have a vase like your 3rd one, and while it is often attributed to Toikka, I've never been able to find one with an Iittala label or other positive attribution. Also, the bottom doesn't say "Iittala" to me and the texture and quality of the glass aren't quite Iittala either. I have some other Iittala pieces and the quality of the glass is different.

It makes you think of his Flora line, but it is different. IOW, I don't think it is Iittala. I think it might be something made for a florist, or even something for someplace like Crate & Barrel.

    Second may be Sklo.

    Fourth absolutely Strombergshyttan.

    Third? Humpila?
