Are these quilt pieces 30s/40s? I'm no quilter but the pieces appear to be cut for the Dresden plate pattern. There are a total of 371 pieces in 167 different patterns (yes, I counted and sorted them all!) I'd appreciate confirmation on my dating, which is really just a total guess. Thanks so much!

(Editing to add: I enhanced the contrast a bit which makes the colors just a tad more strong than they are to the naked eye -- prolly shouldn'ta done that.)

    I'm not a linen person.
But I see some fabric in there looks like it could be 60s.
So I'm more inclined to think a mix of 40s 50s and 60s.

Maybe someone shopped thrift stores or yard sales for fabrics.
Just a guess on my part. Someone else will be along to help.

    Welcome to the board.

RIVETS, WHERE ARE YOU! I am no expert either, but I only recognize a couple of those patterns - which means that they are later than the 30's, 40's. (Quilters in the family)

Bluumz - I think you are correct with the 30s and 40s range. I recognize some of those patterns - I found them last year during an attic clean out and they were in bags with the original receipts - most dated 1939.

I'm seeing at least a few that look later. I can't believe the excellent condition they're in. If you're listing them for sale, let me know because I have a couple of friends who are quilters and would probably snap them up.
