OK.... so now tell us what you really think ;)

I actually think these have merit. Not my taste but can certainly see the appeal. I am wondering if these might be studies done after particular known works.

While they may have merit in some universe ......I ran out to get a stronger prescription for my glasses......& that didn't help either !!! :vomit::vomit::vomit:

I like the overall appearance but the faces are what bugs me. I also thought they might be after known works.

They look like some granny with cataracts painted them. But that being said,I like the muddiness and the colors.

They are not impressionist, they are just blurred.

They are "blurred" images done by some nut who went to see the Frick's collection of Boucher and Fragonard, and three weeks later, tried to remember what he saw.

    He didn't.

Wonder if they are not over painted prints?

I'd call them 1950s boudoir wall "art"; they sold a gazillion paintings and prints like this in the late 40s to early 50s.

Like the parrot on trial for plagiarism... he says "I'm a parrot; I imitate; it's what I do."

These fall in with all the costume jewelry I call Fake Fragonard. It's all transfer printed courting couples in 18th century dress. The older ones are often quite detailed and rather nice. The later they got, the worse they got. These would be right at home with that white French Provincial furniture.

Fragonard & Watteau were only two of the Rococo artists. The poses do look familiar and I do wonder about overpainted prints.
