Featured 2 Pastel drawings- comments please

Hi all,I was thinking these were beautifully drawn? What do you all think of the skill level. Not sure about the date or artist signature (no surprise there!) Maybe AH.Berden,AN.Bergen?

Is the date 50’s or 70’s (looking at the frames) At first it looked like ‘35’ to me (but that doesn’t look correct for the frames?) So I think the date could possibly be 1975? Frame size is 56x48cm. Has some water damage (but luckily only on the border and not on the drawings) Thank you for any comments and keep well

really like them, interesting approach for pastel, with the sparsely coloured areas.
got a slight pointillist or impressionist look about them

looks like a 1935 date mark on the second one.......i think

 

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate you opinion and glad you also like it. I was also think 1935 at first (but then I thought the details on frames look more modern than that) Maybe they were only framed later then?

I definitely got a 30s vibe before I saw the date so I also think its 35.That signature,OY !

If both signatures are cut off at the left hand side, as the second one looks to be, the name could be "van Bergen".
