Made by a child?

 

It’s a ‘crafts’ store.

 

I don't think they're by a child. I think they're by an adult trying for a primitive/naive appeal.

 

I agree with Bev - not by a child, but child-like.

 

Retail store selling "art and design" materials established at that Chelsea address in 1987. Works must have meant something to someone; would have been expensive to custom frame.

I was not able to find much on Art Station Ltd. at 27th street. There is currently a place with that name in Brooklyn but don't know if that is the same one that has moved.
The paintings were done on very thin paper and folded multiple times. No signatures so I guess whoever made them was not very proud.

Looks like newsprint paper with poster paint.

And, of course, the frame and paintings may not be related.
