Appears I hit the jackpot buying unmarked/unknown pottery last weekend. Here are two I really like but haven't a clue on the makers. Hoping the great people here can help.

Pot No 1 is a yellowish/tan with alternating green and black/blue runs. It's 6 7/8" tall and diameter at its widest is about 7". Glazed inside and mostly on the bottom but some light tan clay showing through.

Pot No 2 is a storage jar missing its lid. It's heavy, so I think it's stoneware. Really pretty - to my eyes - multi color glaze that's scattered over the bottom. 8 1/2" tall.

    Thank you!

The second one looks somewhat like a canning jar with that rim.

First looks Belgian from the glaze. Isn't that second one clever.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

@ascot, I'm sure you saw in the next to last image of POT #1, it's had a repair? But aside from that, I still like that one best, personally!! I "did my thing" with the bottom, and see lots of "bits" of writing, (you can see where I had outlined to lighten, brighten, color change to enhance, etc.) but nothing really discernible, as far as I can see in identifying it......AND it IS a crazy NICE bottom on the second pot!!!! I'll see if I can find anything there next......

PLEASE tell me I am NOT the ONLY one that sees a caricature PIG & FACE profile, that I've circled below!!!!!!!! Once seen, I cannot UNsee it!!!!! :cyclops::cyclops:

Thanks, Aquitaine! Yes, I saw the repair on pot #1, but I was buying pots by the lot at $5 or less per lot, so I thought I'd just keep this one - just wondering whodunnit. I see the scratches you manipulated. I've been over the bottoms of both pots with a magnifier and loupe and just coming up empty on actual marks.
Pot #2 is, I think, hand thrown. I can feel the ridges on the inside. There's a bubble mark on the outside of the pot - I was hoping for some symbol or writing but not seeing anything other than bubbles. Maybe you can see something I'm missing. Photos:
