I 'think" when its got a reddish glow its genuinely old milk glass. The first piece might be a perfume bottle for a vanity set.

The little bottle to me looks like it might even be considered opaline.. but I haven't quite figured out what qualifies for that vs simply opalescent.

The second one looks old to me. Somewhere around here I have a book with some photos of British Victorian pressed glass, let me take a look :)

I think I have it, I need to out for a bit but will post a photo when I get back. The creamer is by Henry Greene "commemorating Lord Beaconfield's (Disraeli's) success at the Congress of Berlin in 1878. Design registered 31 August 1878."

    Hi,
Is your creamer a copy of Disraeli? I see Irish shamrocks and Scottish thistle. What is on the other side?

I just happened to have that book. Actually I got together a bunch of glass books to give away and included that one in the group, but now I am rethinking that. I just may have to keep it :)

It is a book on the history of the British pressed glass industry in the 19th century. It was a bit dry reading but the conclusions were universal. It stated that concessions to trade unions caused glass to be too expensive to compete with glass being made in Europe, which eventually caused a lot of British glass houses to close. It seems to me to be the same old story, an industry starts up, workers organize because they are working long hours for not much money. Wages go up, benefits start, hours are more reasonable, lives become better. And then industry in poorer, upcoming areas start up and undercut the established businesses. It is happening right now, it will keep on happening.

Anyway, glad I could help with your ID :)
