    Hi everybody,

This one I don't really have much questions about.
I just want to show them to you.
I have bought them a couple of weeks ago.

These are 2 very beautiful opalcrystal vases.
Nicely decorated, but most of all very nicely shaped.

The glass itself is opal crystal, with a soapy look.

The painting is most likely to be done by "Jean-Baptiste Desvignes".

Made in France, approximately 1820. (Restoration Period/ Charles X)

What gives these vases the extra special personal value, is the opalescent effect, when holding it in front of a light source.

I have and had opaline with this opalescent effect before, but due to the depths in the shape of the glass, these vases are absolutely something else!

I figured you would definately love these ;)

Yes it definately is. This is one of the examples why I fell in just love with this opaline glass. The broken piece of the foot doesn't even really bother me. :p

Nice! The chip wouldn't bother anyone - the poor dears are the best part of 200 years old, and anyone would have a nick or two at that age.
