2 Asian paintings

I have these 2 painting s I have had for a few years now. One has a red seal mark, both have different names , anybody know the artist ?

Alas Billy nobody could help me a couple of weeks ago when I posted a pair of lovely old Asian flower paintings painted on silk. Hope you have better luck.

 

They're Japanese, but that's as far as I can get. They were sold in Japan at least, and they look like fairly standard decorator pieces. Now I'm waiting for an Asian expert to jump on this and tell me they're by an 18th century master.

I hope a master painter. I have to buy a new car, mine 1991 piece of crap.

 

Most original Asian paintings have little value. Like all original art, it depends on who painted it. Most of us here do not read Japanese or Chinese so we can be of little help other than to say that they are pretty and maybe help evaluate the quality of the work. There are also few references about Asian paintings for Westerners, unlike Japanese block prints for which there are good resources.

I know what you mean but I have sold Asian paintings before for more than $1,000, and one for $4,000.
