2 vases I need help to identify. I believe that they are both of Mexican or South American origin, but I am not positive.

    1. Measures 10 3/4" tall and 6 1/4" wide and has 3 peacocks around the center.

    2. Has a crackle glaze and 4 handles, guess it could have been used as a hanging pot. Measures 7" tall and is 6" wide.

I believe the first one is by an artist / company named Vega. I've found several pieces by him /her / them over the years, but wasn't able to figure out the exact name. I think I still have a piece or two somewhere - I'll see how the signature on mine compares.

Writing on second one looks like Greek. The bit that looks like xeipo is chiro - hand. So presumably 'handmade'.

Thanks UncleChuck, I was able to find more pieces that look like a match. They are by Eduardo Vega of Ecuador.

Thanks Bronwen, I would have never guessed Greek.

I just looked on eBay as well - many more listings that the first time I looked. It looks like he might be a designer who licenses his works to other companies for production, or works with companies to create designs for them, in addition to selling his own original pieces.

This listing, for example, shows what I'm thinking:
