    Hello,
I have a piece and wanted to discern what type of wood this is and the year. It appears the top and bottom may be different types of wood. Im suspecting rosewood for the bottom and teak for the top?
    Thanks,

Too far away to see if the top is Teak ..can't see why it would be though unless the maker ran out of rosewood ..post a pic of the side of the top section and we'll take a look.

No input on the wood, but I love it. Reselling or for you?

Rosewood. Which is illegal now, so that adds something.

    Hi,
I have a Brazilian MD friend who is always buying containers of rosewood from Brazil and selling it here in the states. I keep telling him he should not do it because he can go to jail but he just laughs.

I have a friend who used to make guitars for himself and others he played blue grass with.

He made one with brazil rosewood a while back and swears it is was the best sounding guitar hes ever played. not sure if he still has it

you can try designaddict.com to get more information about it unless you already know the maker and other pedigree.

They have a crowd who knows high end danish well. Sometimes though you just wont get a response if it isnt made by a designer that interests them.

That grain and the color on the wood of the top piece doesn't look like teak to me.

Think it is all rosewood. Used the odd piece on the top where it would not show as much. Not sure if this is Brazilian rosewood or Cocobolo.
