If you know for sure it was redeemed, shred away

Some of the older IBM items can have value (not suggesting this Life Ins. policy--if definitely cashed in, by all means "shred".)

The older "THINK" IBM desk plaques are collected, seem now to be a bit down in value (7 years ago sold one for $150), you might look to see if there is anything like that sitting around if you had a family member that worked at IBM.

Thank you, Lucille! I just have a few more odds and ends items, that I’ve looked into and they were nothing special, but I keep finding things. :)

If this has no redeemable value, I would surely offer it at $25 and wait for offers. I have sold the torn off covers of obscure company handbooks, internal memos, furniture factory receipts, etc. for some, albeit low, but still astonishing sums. I do not presume to know what others are interested in, so I throw almost everything against the wall t least once.

Example - some may remember a few years ago I offered a "Mile of Vintage Embroidery Floss" on this forum. Got no takers, so I listed it on Bonanza and sold the lot almost immediately.

As a matter of fact, I have a "scrape" book of a gentleman's career with the local telephone company (1919 - 1965?) I am trying to determine a selling strategy for right now. I may pass it by youse guys if I get around to cataloguing and photographing it.

    $2.61 a month for 20 years. Paid out $600,000.

All I got left is this paper. Nursing home took the rest.

Thanks, Mansons! I’ll likely just shred it, if anything. (I’m probably just looking for an excuse not to shred it) I don’t have much to remember my dad by.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Keeping it for remembrance is a good idea.
