He's really cute! But $22K is a little extreme. For that money he needs to go on the block chain for his own safety.

Now would you go to a sale like that figuring that there's so much good stuff you're bound to get something good, or would you not even bother because you figure there will be 10 million collectors there who will leave nothing for you?

if I lived close, I'd offer them a large sum of money to let me go in before time, otherwise I'd camp outside so I could be the first or one of the first inside. I'd go for the postcards first:) There is so much stuff there, I imagine there will be collectors for lots of different things. I sold a deck of those vanity cards (photo 117), I think I got $400 for them, the box on mine was red though.

I like going to sales where even the bad stuff is good. For me I just always go for whatever the best things in any room are, assuming I can afford them and there’s money to be made. At the thrift store sometimes that’s something worth $30, at local auctions sometimes its something worth 5k. You always try to get the best in any room if you can afford it or it’s a good value. At the estate sales where everything is quality obviously those collectors that are there early take all the best stuff. I love the sales where even the leftovers, last hour of last day are pretty good. You can’t lose then. At first that stuff didn’t look so hot relative to all the best stuff but if you took it all to a thrift store it would be the best stuff there and you’d be happy to find it. Any sale where the low tier stuff would be the top tier stuff at some other sales is worth going imo. You’re bound to get some deals whenever you show up because good stuff gets overlooked. I probably could have said that better but maybe my drift will be gotten by someone.

I'm sure you're right. I don't think I could handle it though. I'd have to plan my strategy very carefully, then the second I walked in, I'd lose my mind.

You were the first person I thought of when I started looking at all of the photos. I was just going to tag you when I saw that you were already here & had been drooling. :D:D
