I found this today during my thrift store hunt! I've figured out it's about the WW I American Ambulance Field Service honoring(?) someone named Robert McDougall?
The dates appear to be handwritten in & the signature of the US Asst Secretary of the Treasury A. Piatt Andrew (who also founded the American Ambulance Field Service) also appear to be handwritten.
    Is this for real?
    What is it?
If real, does it have value?
Any other thoughts or information would be a great help.
    PS - I can't find my measuring tape but I'd guess it's about 36" x 24"?
    Thank you!

Looks for real. Hemingway drove for them, if you remember.

That appears to be the real deal, issued to American soldiers serving the French army's ambulance service. You can find a few out at Worthpoint to see what they sold for.

Robert Davis McDougall, Jr (1896-1961). Born, raised and buried in Peoria. His son, RDM III (1925-2015), is also buried there. If you want to sleuth the family, the son's bio with surviving family is at Find-A-Grave (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/146666734).
