I think the pictures are too poor to tell.

I dunno but has been on Eboo Belgium since at least Feb 15, unless they have more than one. If it is the same one, I'd offer the seller maybe 15 Euros, they may take it after trying to sell it for 9 mos. You can easily check that seller's feedback and see if they've sold numbers of this item, and if so someone is cranking these out somewhere. It does look old, I'm just a little concerned about apparent lack of wear on the edges of the base. It needs hexagonal candles, which seems a bit odd, when were those popular?

Geez, those are terrible pics! I tried to brighten and clarify a couple of them for a better look. They do look like the ones on Bukowski.

I think there is a good possibility it is the real deal with that high dome scalloped base. There are a couple of French 1720s-1730s brass candlesticks pictured in Schiffer's The Brass Book, p. 187, with similar style bases.

Edited: Also the fact the underside is well finished with excess metal cleaned out says 17th or 18th century.

Edited: above should say 18th or 19th century.

I'm mostly concerned about the center of the bottom. In most 18th c. candlesticks the base of the screw has a line / slit in the middle because the whole thing was cast in 2 portions.
However looking at the picture @Ladybranch posted above, it's just a shiny "button" much like these circa 1900 ones have: https://www.bukowskis.com/en/lots/846199-a-pair-of-18th-century-bronze-candlesticks

The eBay candlestick has the casting seams in the stem (at least) but that doesn't mean anything. Soo much researching....

I just noticed that I had linked the wrong pair of candlesticks in my post above.
