I have this handwritten poem written in 1897 by Dr. William Hale, Gloucester, Mass.
"The Hero of Great Hill." and presented to the Elliot Maine Historical Society.
The poem was presented on MONDAY THE FIFTH OF JULY, 1897 in COMMEMORATION OF MAJOR CHARLES FROST on the Two Hundredth Anniversary of his Massacre by the Indians Sunday, July Fourth, 1697.
    I found the below site.

My question is this manuscript the original that was presented to the society?
Any further info appreciated. TIA The hero of great hill 1.jpg The hero of great hill 2.jpg
