    * Author's Disclaimer Affidavit-I do not own this piece.Didn't find this at a Thrift,Charity,GW,Dumpster or while having my drains Roto-Rooted.

Here's a pic of our neighborhood possibly taken by daguerreotypist L.H. Wakefield between 1851-53.
I was tempted, but at an offering price of $95,000.00,politely demurred.

That is fabulous. Hope it finds the home it deserves.

It would be wonderful if it ended up in our local history museum, but LOL-they're generally always half-broke.Great image though.I'm happy w/ my laser copy though (& not having a 2nd mortgage !).

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I found it online after seeing your post. The seller is somebody from whom I purchased something a long time ago (a much lower level photographic item than that one). Seller tends to price high, but has good merchandise as I recall.

I remember him selling on Ebay 20+ years ago.He used to collect early post-mortem images, hence his nickname 'Thanatos'.

Yep it's $$$$$-He's been buying/selling at least since the early days of Ebay & probably has a decent inventory.
Ebay's an interesting way to advertise choice pieces-you just items forever !
PS-I'm no expert, can you simply list items for years waiting for your ship to come in ?

It's great cheap way to market an item, some of these pieces never seem to leave.

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

but it can also kill the item.....
it just sits there , with many watchers.....price going down...then up....then down....
or even the same price ........and it sits.....

It's a weird strategy. I get an Email whenever something shows up w/ my search parameters-3/4trs of the time it's the same item (or multiple thereof).
