Found this cool old reloading device this weekend. Its from the Bridgeport Gun Implement Co and is their "New Rapid Loader" or "Machine Loader" model. I've been able to find a few articles from the mid 1890's about it, but no photos of it in its complete state. There in comes my question. Its not complete, and there was some miscellaneous items in the apple basket with this piece. I'm wondering if the brass rod with a spring went with the machine, or was just another piece in the reloading process from somewhere else. Its hollow, with two different screw type caps on either end. One is marked 10 & 12. The hole the bolt is in goes all the way through to the other side. The area where the bolt is entering is flat, while the rest is curved. Thanks for looking.
