Does anyone recognize who might be the maker of this sterling piece? Marked sterling but very worn, photo below. Also what would I call this shape?. Last question, any chance the top would be sterling as well as the handle?

From the back. (Got reflections in the metal.)

    Where the handle attaches:

    The shape from the side:

Assuming this top part is stainless, is there any chance it would be sterling as well? I do have a test kit, if absolutely necessary, but sort of hate to use the scratch stone if it's stainless might leave a small edge scratch.

    Thanks for the help.

It's a recast of an Alvin Bridal Rose handle soldered to what is most likely supposed to be an asparagus fork/server - on the plus side, most recasts are actually sterling...

Just back from (food) shopping... Thanks for the responses.

Thank you for pattern ID suggestion too. Awesome, Bakers!

:) Cheryl, thank you for your expertise, the identification, and taking a look. Your silver knowledge is impressive and such a help.
