Was sold as a man's ring. Size 10.5

It's signed WWW and marked 10K. I don't have one of those gem testers. If this is amethyst rather than glass does it add much value? (Not color changing, I checked.) I have a $10 diamond tester... is there any info about the stone I can gather from that machine?

What would be your best guess? Pretty sure I've ID'd the maker, which would put it at the Deco era.

Best guesses on the stone/glass section?

I have, legit gem grade can be that flawless, but I'd hit it with the diamond tester and see what pops. The tester will register glass no matter how cheap it is, and if it's like mine you'll be able to take a decent guess as to what it is.

I have too. I like that ring, nice cut on the stone.
Amethyst is 7 on the Mohs scale, glass is much lower.

Sure. Most of the beads I find are included and aren't considered gem grade. Gem grade quartz isn't included or cloudy unless it's rose quartz. The pink always looks foggy inside. I can't think of the proper term for it.

Well, fooled around with my diamond tester. What I can say is that the stone in this ring had the same numerical reaction as other gems in rings I own. I also have rings with glass so did a comparison. There was definitely a difference between this and glass, the glass had no reaction, this definitely had one, so maybe amethyst.

Looks like a Rose de France amethyst.
